Responsibilities

• Write “clean”, well-designed code in a timely and scalable way
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
• High quality unit testing
• High quality User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Producing high quality documentation: Requirements/Functional Specifications/Test plans

Requirements

• More than 3 years of proven software development experience in ecommerce
• Familiar with CI (CodeIgniter)
• Exceptional knowledge of PHP language
• Deep understanding of Apache web server
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript, ES6, AJAX etc
• Exposure to ReactJS and NodeJS is a plus
• Knowledge of front-end tooling e.g. Webpack is a plus
• Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL in particular), version control tools (Bitbucket) and developing web services
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc)
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree

Responsibilities

• In consultation with the Global Social Awareness team, develop and implement a communications plan for the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on how to build the Essential Need business partnerships in Australia and Asia.
• 1 for 1 Strategy - Inspire businesses to register on https://www.essentialneed.org/become-a-partner to donate $1.50 or more per employee.
• Attend Asia-Pacific and social awareness team meetings.
• Support the Partnerships Director to organise the annual Essential Need Asia-Pacific conference.
• Support the Partnerships Director to explore opportunities on delivering parts of the Essential Need annual conference online.
• Publish and welcome new partners on social media channels.
• Ensure brand consistency.
• Develop social media guidelines.
